Hostel Facilities

We have on-campus accommodation facility available for our students. There are separate hostel buildings for boys and girls, and the girls’ hostels are located inside the campus premises. Spacious, well-ventilated, tidy and hygienic rooms make our hostels a perfect second home for all of our students. Our hostels can accommodate more than 300 students comfortably.

All the hostel buildings also have a recreation hall, gym and game room with a variety of indoor games for the students. The girls’ hostels have special 24x7 security and only female visitors are allowed to visit inside the hostel premises. The wardens maintain a visitor register to keep the track record of the visitors in all the hostels.

The rooms in all the hostels are fully furnished and have 24x7 Wi-Fi internet connectivity. The laundry facility is also made available for all the students on nominal charges.

Rules and Procedures in Boys & Girls Hostel

  1. In the changing social scenario parents are requested to come once in a month to interact with the Chief Warden in regard to the welfare and academic progress of their wards.
  2. Permission has to be sought only from the Chief Warden that too with a request from the local guardian/visitor in the visitors’ list mentioned of the Application, either in person or through phone message. They are allowed to use ‘Visitor’s Area’ only located in the Office Block, ground floor to interact with their wards.
  3. Permission has to be taken from the Chief Warden only during the college hours, i.e. from 9.30 AM to 12.00 Noon and 2.30 PM to 4.30 PM.
  4. In case of emergency, permission can be taken from Sri J. Naga Seshu, Hostel In-charge, whose mobile number is +91-9642583423.
  5. Every student has to attend the study hours and complete the schedule given by the teachers on the same day. They are also advised to go through the prescribed text regularly. Every inmate should invariably participate in the Group Discussion/Presentation of a Topic once in a week to develop confidence in communication skills, i.e., LSRW. (Listening, Speaking, Reading & Writing).
  6. One has to bear with the occasional disruption to water supply due to power failures at Kesanupalli village.
  7. No male member, including father or grandfather is allowed into the hostel rooms in order to safeguard the privacy of in-mates.
  8. Visitors have to produce their ID cards to the Security Personnel during their visit to the campus.
  9. Every in-mate should ensure payment of hostel dues in time to avoid unnecessary problems thereafter.
  10. Every hosteller has access to ‘Google Website’ every day between 5.00 PM and 6.00 PM and is strictly prohibited access to other Websites.

Visitors

  1. Any visitor is allowed enter into the Hostel up to the visitors’ room only. All visitors to the Hostel including the parents/guardians will have to make necessary entries in the Visitors’ Book available at the Hostel entrance with the security guards.
  2. The visit of male students to the Girl’s Hostel and vice versa is strictly prohibited.
  3. Violation of this rule will lead to severe penalty and punishment as decided by the Hostel and Institute Authorities.
  4. Any visitor found inside the hostels after 6.00 P.M shall be sent out by the security, and the hosteller permitting such unauthorized guest will be penalised.

Use of Appliances

  1. The use of electrical / electro-mechanical equipment’s, gadgets, appliances, such as electric stove/heaters/refrigerator/infrared cooker/electric iron is forbidden in any of the rooms allotted to the residents.
  2. Private cooking in the rooms or anywhere in the Hostel is strictly forbidden. Any such appliance found in a Hostel room will be confiscated and a fine will be imposed.
  3. The use of audio systems which may cause inconvenience to the roommates or other inmates is not allowed.
  4. The use of personal T.V, VCR, and VCD/DVD is prohibited.
  5. The students should not hire objectionable CDs from outside.
  6. When the students go out of their rooms they should switch off all the fans, lights etc., and keep it locked (at all the times). Violation will attract suitable penalty and punishment by the authorities.

Mess

  1. Discipline should be strictly maintained in the dining hall.
  2. Day Scholars cannot be entertained as guests in the mess on a regular basis.
  3. Food will not be served in rooms and the inmates are not supposed to take food from the dining hall to their rooms. If an inmate is ill, it should be intimated to the hostel management and they will make suitable arrangements for her food.
  4. Wasting food is a social crime. For the first offence of wasting food by a boarder, warning will be issued to her/him. If the offence is committed for the second time a suitable fine will be imposed on her/him.
  5. A resident shall strictly keep to the timings set down for meals.

Room Maintenance and Cleanliness

  1. It is the responsibility of the warden to look after and take care of the general maintenance and cleanliness of the Hostel premises.
  2. Sudden visits at any time will be made by the warden. If room maintenance is found not good and uncleanness a fine of amount Rs 500/- will be levied on each resident in the room irrespective of their explanations.
  3. Fixing posters and pictures or writing on the common walls and disfiguring the walls of the room are strictly prohibited.
  4. The residents shall not have any guests living in their rooms without prior permission of the warden.
  5. Garbage and wastage only be put at garbage box available nearby Rooms/hostel premises.
  6. No function or celebration shall be organized at hostel premises or in rooms except with the permission of the Warden.

Ragging

  1. Ragging in any form is banned. Severe punishment, including expulsion from the Hostel and the Institute, shall be imposed on any resident if she is found to have indulged in ragging.
  2. Any resident, for that matter any person / student, if are found to have encouraged ragging or helped in any form shall be subjected to similar punishment.
  3. If the victim of ragging does not want to come out in the open to lodge complaint, she can contact the Anti-Ragging Squad or the Warden or the Principal or the Chief Warden on telephone or in person.
  4. All residents should extend their fullest cooperation to the Anti-Ragging Squad and the Hostel and Institute Authorities in eradicating the menace of ragging from the campus.
  5. Complaints and grievances of the hostellers, if any, may be lodged at the office of the Chief Warden.
